Primetime Beats On!!

29 February 2008

Older residents of the Borough have been getting into the rhythm of things in February with a variety of heart related activities and events on the Primetime programme.

There was plenty of sparkle, gallons of glamour, and a touch of romance in the air at the Primetime Valentines Dance on the 8th February. Crofton Halls was the venue for an extremely popular evening of sequence, ballroom, and Latin dancing hosted by the dazzling DJ Dave Whyte. Participants of all ages showed off their skills at a range of dances including the steamy salsa, foxy foxtrot and the always popular ‘bus stop’. The evening was such a success, that another evening of dance has been planned for June – keep an eye on our website for the next event!

On the other side of the Borough, and not wishing to be outdone, the Primetime Tea Dancers at the Great Hall, Bromley Civic Centre hosted an extremely successful tea dance and raffle on Tuesday 12th February with proceeds going to the British Heart Foundation. The event, organised by dance teacher Maisie Marks raised an amazing £450!! This donation will help the British Heart Foundation continue working for people with coronary heart disease.

Well done to all our Primetime fundraisers and if you would like to join in the fun, or find out how to get more active to protect your heart, pick up a Primetime activity booklet at your nearest leisure Centre – or visit our (external link)Primetime page.
