Staff and customers from Bromley’s charitable leisure trust Mytime raised over £1250 for Breast Cancer Care during October’s Breast Cancer awareness month.
Staff in the leisure centres organised pink parties for Primetime groups and customers dressed in pink for their exercise classes. Centres also hosted pink afternoon tea parties and a pink themed raffle draw, all in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
Head office staff also joined in the fun and dressed up in pink for the day, workers baked pink cakes, and raised money through raffles and pink quizzes.
Organiser Anna Bruin said, “Our colleagues loved dressing up and having some fun for a good cause. Many of our customers and colleagues know someone who has been affected by this disease so we wanted to do something positive to help.”
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is organised by (external link)Breast Cancer Care the national charity that raises funds for cancer research and offers support for people affected by the disease.
