    This October half term Bromley is bracing itself for hundreds of witches, ghosts and ghouls to make an appearance at the buzz Halloween Spooktacular. The Halloween Spooktacular is four afternoons of FUN, FANTASY & FANGS for under 11s and takes place at Bromley’s premier soft play centres; Adventure Kingdom in Bromley next to the Civic Centre and Space Zone at the Spa in Beckenham.

  • Walnuts provides more time to swim

    The Walnuts Leisure Centre in Orpington is opening up for more public swimming and a new Aqua Fit programme. Bromley Mytime, the charitable leisure trust, operates these facilities in partnership with Bromley Council, has been consulting with customers throughout the summer and is now adapting its programme accordingly.

Connect, the FREE new scheme for teenagers that is sweeping Bromley is recruiting for a ‘Connect Focus Group’ to help develop the scheme and to ensure youngsters in Bromley have a say in what’s on offer.

    Connect, the free leisure card for 11-19 year olds brought together competition winners at the Churchill Theatre last week to see the opening of the ‘Broadway’ show – a review of hit musicals. The winners were given exclusive treatment with a photo call beforehand and a VIP area during the interval.

    Bromley top young athletes this week celebrated their achievements from this summer’s London Heathrow Youth Games at a reception hosted by The Worshipful the Mayor of Bromley, Councillor Mrs Joan Wykes. Team managers and athletes celebrated their outstanding result of 2nd place at the annual London Youth Games in July, which is Bromley’s best since 1993!

  • £5,000 for Bromley Rugby Development Group

    Members of the Bromley Rugby Development Group (BRDG) are celebrating after receiving a grant of £5,000 from the National Lottery’s ‘Awards for All’ programme. The grant was awarded to establish district sides at Under 14, 15 and 16 and will be used to purchase essential equipment, kit and coaching throughout the season.
