National Pool Lifeguard Course

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is recognised by the Royal Life Saving Society and ISRM

Who Should Attend:
Staff required to work on Poolside

Course Overview:
To provide theoretical and practical skills and knowledge to any person who at any time is associated with pool lifeguard practices. To be qualified in both units 1 and 2 at the end of the course.

  • Drowning
  • Hazards
  • Zoning
  • Self Discipline
  • Safety (Bather/Lifeguard)
  • Spinal cord injury management

Duration:
One week, total of 38 hours

Monday 28 May to Friday 1 June 2007

Venue:
The Spa at Beckenham

Times:
9.00am to 5.00pm

NB This course involves both a practical and theory assessment.
Candidates will be advised of their results at the end of the course.

Cost:
£200.00 (includes assessment)

Qualification:
Certificate in Unit 1 and 2, valid for two years
