The London Youth Games

The London Youth Games

Bromley has been successful for the second year running being crowned London Youth Games Champions 2008. Thousands of young people from across the capital were competing in the Games during June and July and Bromley emerged clear winners with 1039 points, 13 more than second placed Lewisham, and 16 more than third placed Redbridge.
Highlights for Bromley included first places for the girls’ swimming and boys’ hockey teams both regaining their top scores from 2007, second places for girls’ hockey and squash, and third places for netball, tennis, rugby, girls’ cricket and athletics, and boys’ disability football. The teams consistently achieved excellent results throughout the Games with great support from team managers and coaches.
