Hayley Thomas (drama)

A fully qualified teacher and drama specialist, Hayley has taught across all the key stages (Foundation to KS5), devised and delivered specific drama workshops and longer term projects, created peer learning drama projects, and run intensive summer schools. She offers drama lessons and experiences for students of all ages, from infants right up to adult learners, including after-school clubs, summer schools, tailored sessions and project work. Hayley says:

“I believe that drama should play a big role in a child’s education as it excites, engages and motivates learners like no other learning tool. It boosts children’s confidence, helps them to engage with challenging subjects and ideas, and makes them think for themselves. As an experienced drama practitioner, I know exactly what makes a great drama session, and I am highly skilled at getting people involved, no matter what their previous experience or level of attainment.”

Stella Enoe

Stella’s background began as a professional singer touring around the world with bands. She began teaching early in her career and ran an extremely successful teaching practice at the Lewisham Academy of Music as a vocal tutor where she taught people of all ages and backgrounds. Stella says:

“This was a real eye opener for me. I realised I had to incorporate a diverse style of schooling in order to make my classes exciting. My workshops became somewhat popular and attracted many talented singers such as, Gabriel, Daniel and Natasha Beddingfield, Conner Reeves, Shernette Maye (from the Artful Dodger), MN8 and D’ream, and the list goes on. A part of the job entailed setting up performances with different organisations and establishments. This enabled my students to participate in local/national festivals, with Willard White (Opera singer), and the London Philharmonic orchestra.

Currently, I am teaching my courses all over the UK, focusing the classes solely on singing and song writing skills. Many of my students have approached a semi-professional level, leading to major contracts, such as Leona Lewis. I thoroughly enjoy nurturing creative musical poetry and helping others explore their inner thoughts and talents.”

Stella can offer singing and songwriting classes to all ages of children and just needs a room and a piano (although can supply a keyboard if you don’t have a piano). Stella specialises in vocal practice and technique which can really help young people find their voice even if they didn’t feel they were singers. She’s also adept at getting anyone singing even those who might be a little less confident! Stella can cover a diverse range of musical styles from musical theatre to MCing (rapping!) so there’s opportunities for both girls and boys of all age groups to take part, not only using their voices and building their confidence but creating their own original work at the same time.
