30 July 2010
On Sunday 11th July, over 900 people gathered in Crystal Palace Park to take part in the Dancing Landscapes - T-Mobile Big Dance 2010 event. The event started off with four dance presentations, demonstrating a variety of disciplines, including Parkour, Bollywood, Tai Chi and a contemporary piece, before the public got to have a go themselves by joining in the 8 workshops that were held on the concert bowl throughout the afternoon.
It was a fantastic day, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part, and event co-ordinator Ashlee Corfe said ‘It was brilliant to see such a mix of ages and abilities all coming together through dance and getting involved in the sessions.’
Following on from the Big Dance workshops there are now several short courses running at Bromley Mytime centres to give people further opportunities to get involved and have a go at the skills they either picked up on the day, or to try something new. For more information on courses available please download the brochure here.
