9 September 2008

Autumn Connect 08

The summer holidays are over and it’s back to the school routine for Bromley’s teenagers. The Connect Autumn programme offers young people the opportunity to take part in fun activities outside of school which will help them get active and fit.

Connect's exciting programmes offer a fantastic range of activities that young people can try at great value for money prices. Designed just for young people, Connect's exciting Autumn programmes include:

Futsal Fridays at the Pavilion Leisure Centre in Bromley mean Friday night football fun for young people aged 11-16. Delivered by Mike Delaney’s Skills Academy, sessions offer top freestyle and futsal tips, coaching and weekly games and visits by Mike Delaney, England Futsal team member.

P*H*I*T stands for Positive Healthy Impact Training. P*H*I*T opens up Bromley Mytime’s state of the art gyms with hundreds of pieces of gym equipment for young people to use. Exercise classes for those that don’t enjoy sports activities include StreetP*H*IT dance sessions and BoxP*H*I*T combat style classes..

Regular well-attended courses include archery, trampolining, badminton basketball and Water Colour Art!

Debbie Glazzard, Connect Brand Manager said, “Connect offers a fantastic range of high quality programmes, which provide safe, fun places for young people to go during the evenings and weekends with their friends. We are very proud that during a recent consultation event with Bromley Youth Council – young people told us that our centre’s are young people friendly – we hope that this will encourage many more young people to visit our centre’s regularly.”
