Hockey

Hockey is a great game for both boys and girls, and Bromley Mytime offers a huge variety of opportunities to play and improve hockey skills from introductory courses for 4 -11 year olds to weekly skills sessions at selected sites and a variety of quality astro pitch training facilities to hire.

Quality coaching
Bromley Mytime works in partnership with the local club through the Bromley Hockey Development Scheme (BHDS) and delivers a range of coaching opportunities to both boys and girls. The scheme benefits from the expertise of a recently appointed professional Hockey Community Sports Coach, qualified to level 11NGB standard, who will deliver quality coaching across the borough in schools, centres and Bromley & Beckenham Hockey Club. A number of casual qualified coaches will assist with delivery where necessary.

Skills Sessions
Mini hockey and Skills sessions are delivered weekly during school term-time at most Bromley Mytime astro pitch facilities. Children will develop the basics of the game including passing, control, dribbling and shooting through a structured programme. Different age groups operate between the age ranges of 4 to 12 years old. Courses should be booked in advance.

Buzz Holiday Courses
Holidays Courses are delivered for children aged 4 to 12 years old at selected Bromley Mytime facilities. Courses are split into age and ability groups and include a combination of structured coaching/fun games and mini matches. Courses should be booked in advance.

Facilities
Many Bromley Mytime Sports Centre facilities have suitable floodlit all-weather pitches for hire by clubs/teams and individuals. From full size, floodlit all-weather pitches to indoor sporthalls there is something to meet all requirements. Contact your local centre for details

Club and Leagues
Bromley & Beckenham Hockey Club has emerged as a result of a merger between Beckenham HC and Bromley HC. The new club participates in many different leagues suitable for children and adults of varying ages and ability levels.
